Description
Many of us have most likely dealt with the lie that, in order to move forward and experience more of God, we have to be perfect and balanced in all areas of our lives.
Trusting God with your life and delighting in Him requires submission, not perfection. You don’t have to be perfect to delight in the Lord. You don’t have to have it all together or be completely balanced in every area. You simply need to be willing to surrender.
Delighting in God isn’t an outward focus on an action based checklist of our priorities. That only leads to a legalistic relationship with God, and we’ve most likely experienced failure and frustration in that area. Instead, delighting in God is an inward focus that leads to freedom.
When we delight in God, we choose to delight in His ways, even when they don’t make sense. When we delight in Him, we do so from a place of humility, understanding that He is still doing work in us.
So when you feel like delighting in Him requires action from you to improve or be better at being a Christian, know this, God is strong wherever you are weak, and your actions for the Lord will not go in vain.
Desires of My Heart is a devotional based eBook based on Psalm 37:4. So many of us believers walk our Christian walk without really knowing what it means to delight in the Lord. This eBook isn’t about being perfect, it’s about becoming-or moving- towards God and living a life delighted in Him, which will come when our hearts become changed by Him.
Desires of My Heart is a powerful eBook that will help you work past any barriers you may have that inhibit your walk-and your growth- while encouraging you to live a life guided by the Holy Spirit.

Amazon Reviews:
“This book challenged me to become broken and let go of control in order to trust God on a deeper level. Heather emphasizes how living for God should be our motivation – not pride, not fear, not wants, needs or wishes. She also stresses that letting go of fear in lieu of clinging to faith helps me unite my heart with God and become one with Him. Being obedient is how I delight myself in the Lord.”
“Psalm 37:4 seems like such a simple verse containing a very straightforward command, but the truth is, there’s nothing simple or easy about it. The fact of the matter is that despite what we often think or how we act, delighting in the Lord has nothing to do with what we do for Him but rather what we allow Him to do through us. Sometimes we get so bogged down trying to do His will that we lose sight of what He really wants from us. In an effort to serve Him to the greatest of our ability, we drive ourselves crazy, completely overwhelmed by obligations we can’t meet and circumstances we can’t overcome. And it often seems that the harder we try to serve Him, the harder we fall.”
“Desires of my Heart is based on one of my all time favorite verses,Psalm 37:4. Heather teaches us that delighting in the Lord comes when we allow God to work and change us within, not from an outward “pattern of performance based religion.” We need to become humble, lose our pride and self sufficiency and allow God to work in our hearts what He KNOWS our desires should be. If you want to “delight in the Lord” then this is the book for you.”
