I was watching Shark Tank with my husband one night and one of the Sharks mentioned that it takes courage to quit. So this question came to mind: Have you ever quit writing?
For me, I don’t think I have ever quit writing but I have quit websites that I started up. I have a tendency to have an idea and then I roll with it and start something new; however, a lot of times these new projects can be started without completing what I’ve already started.
Quitting a website, or anything else, truly does take courage especially when it is prohibiting growth in other areas of your life. Right now, I am thinking about what I might need to either quit, or put on the back burner of my life, and it’s a difficult thought process for sure. But the fact is this life does not go on forever, and tomorrow is never guaranteed. I think it is extremely wise to consider how we spend our time on this earth.
For me, I am not going to quit writing but I am going to quit some projects and goals so that I can continue to pursue my writing. Sometimes we quit writing, and sometimes we quit other things so we can write!
Have you ever quit writing? Have you ever quit something else so you could pursue your writing? Or have you found a way to be successful in balancing writing and other projects, goals, or priorities within your life?
