God is a giving God. He loves to help us in understanding scriptures and situations better. He loves to show us His goodness in the midst of all that is going on. His word is full of scriptures that talk about wisdom and understanding.

Understanding starts with knowing God
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Proverbs 2:10-11
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it. Ecclesiastes 7:12
And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” Job 28:28
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:30
Seeking His kingdom first means that we seek Him and what He says about our situation before anything else.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 14:11-14
Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning, but a rod is for the back of one who has no sense. Proverbs 10:13
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17
